I have an ethernet modem and it uses Shared Login to connect to the net by default.
With that, the log entries doesn't appear. But if I manually disconnect and choose Individual Login, I can see those entries. Everything is still protected/stealthed. I just miss seeing the log entries. Are there any ways like creating a rule, etc? Appreciate some step by step help as I'm not very good with rules. Fyi, modem is from my ISP so it's interface only has connect/disconnect. |

Hi,
You should verify the selected adapter is really the same for the 2 cases (when you have no log/when you have log entries). Also check the IP is the same in the Welcome page. Frederic |

Hi,
I checked. The IP is the same. The adapter (if you mean the network interface), I only see one option available/same and that is my realtek. I'm using 2.05p2 if that helps? |

Ok, thanks for the confirmation.
What kind of log entries are missing exactly ? And when you have log entries is only at the beginning or continuously ? Perhaps there is something wrong with your modem, if it includes also a firewall. Perhaps its internal is enable/disabled depending on the way you connect ? You may try the 2.05p3 in case something change. Regards, Frederic |

Hi,
I think log entries are those "Blocking incoming" but LNS still block them. When I changed to individual login, the log entries will be back to normal. My modem is crippled by my isp to a state that it lacks firewall and can only connect/disconnect. I will try the 2.05p3 and see if it helps. Thanks. Edit: Hmm I've switched to another modem and no more problems. I tried 2.05p3 and it's great. Thanks for the advice though. ![]() Last edited by LokiLoki : July 30th, 2006 at 05:25 AM. |
