Default How is McAfee for a firewall?
I got it for 3 years on my computer. How is it? I have used Zone alarm on my main computer and i noticed it blocked more stuff then McAfee does in a day. Nothing got in so far since i have it set up to tight security. But i noticed that zone alarm blocks more.

I would ask: is ZA blocking more,.. or just reporting / logging more?

i mean zone alarm has block a LOT more then Mcafee i have mcafee on my laptop and zone alarm on the PC. Do you think it could be becausse the PC gets more use?

Could you please give examples of what ZA is blocking and Macafee is not(or not reporting).

So Mcafee is allowing access?. I would very much doubt that, could you please give examples from the ZA logs of the access attemps that are being blocked by ZA, but are being allowed by Mcafee.

mcafee is doing a good job it hasn't let anything in but im just saying that zone alarm has blocked a lot more inbound events then mcafee.

As others have suggested, I suspect this is just a matter of ZA having more extensive logging than McAfee.

I really don't like that counter. It's just ZA's way of patting itself on the back. Every little squeek gets counted as an intrusion attempt.

ZA will make ur computer secure but a rules-based firewall would provide even more control and security.

This is an application firewall, with 3 rules for application access:-
