    Hi,

TI 9 recently introduced the possibility to add "media components" (the rescue environment) when backing up to removable/CD/DVD media. However, I'm unable to find this option in the BartPE plugin or the Linux rescue environment. Is this a bug or intentional? If the latter, where is the problem?

    Hello Caranthir,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

All the operations related to media components are carried out by Acronis Media Builder utility which is not included into Acronis True Image Bart PE plug-in or Acronis Linux kernal (Bootable Rescue Media). This utility is installed within Windows only.

Probably this feature will be implemented in Acronis Bart PE plug-in and Acronis Bootable Rescue Media in future but I'm afraid that the exact time frame is not available yet.

    Thank you.

    Caranthir,

I offer BartPE plugins for TI9 on my website that include the Media Builder function. You can add the media components to CD/DVD backups with my plugins the same as you can in normal Windows.
