I have been using TI for a while, creating images of partitions to HD, and have been satisfied with the results.
First time I tried to create a backup of files to DVD, it was not able to complete for its confusion of which disc is which. More specifically, after the second DVD is done, it asks for the first DVD, but when I put that in, it says "this is not the last ...", and when I tried that one, it said "this is not volume 1". Forced to abort, I turned to other software for the task. I would like to use TI for this, but it is confused. Any ideas? Thank you.

I don't use direct burning to DVDs but your problem may be that you have the "Validate backup archive after creation" box ticked in the Options, Backup, Additional Settings. Apparently this causes problems from what I gather from some of the posts. You should be using build 3666 or preferably the latest 3677 if you want to do direct DVD burning. There are serious problems with the earlier ones. You should Validate the archive independently of the backup after it's created. |
