Where is "Happy Bytes"? Is he still eset employee?

Because of changing his state and signature and removing his name from moderators list...

Happy Bytes will be moving to another country and will not work for Eset anymore. Let's hope that he will jump in here in his spare time and carry on providing us with his valuable comments and help. We all are very grateful for his excellent job he has done for Eset so far and wish him all the best in his future venture.

HB, good luck with the new job/home etc. Make sure you pick a country/city/street where they keep your car in one piece! :D

Exactly. It doesn't matter what company he's going to. His skills will keep helping the community, no matter where he's working. In my personal opinion ESET has left escape a great professional, although in the other hand, the company he's going to will gain strength in her product for sure. Anyway, I just can wish him a peaceful move and a great start in his new place of living/working.

That's the point. Hopefully it will not have any negative Consequences to NOD 32 and it's future.

Not at all. While Happy Bytes is great a what he did, one man does not make a company - Eset has many talented people. They were successful before and will continue that success into the future.

Damn! Happy Bytes' was a very big reason for my purchase of NOD32. I hope NOD's detection rates does not go down because of his absence.....

NOD32's detection rates started rising up after Happy Bytes came to the company....And now he's gone, so what'll happen now? I guess I'll just wait and watch....

Happy Bytes good luck to you!

and to all others that thinks the detection rate will go down.
Pls stop being so paranoid, one man can not change all the company.
The detection will continue to be as good as it is now! I belive so.

So pls stop keep asking about detection rate / just because Happy Bytes now works for another company.
He was the best but sad now, nothing we can do.

    Firecat,

Although Happy Bytes is an exceptionally talented researcher, let's keep things in perspective.

NOD32 was a top tier program when he joined Eset, and it will continue to be.

As anyone who has worked in any organization will attest, when a talented individual exits, they do leave a legacy behind. A legacy of how they approached problems, how they found solutions, and aspects of their unique knowledgebase. All technical groups that I've witnessed in operation exhibit a fair degree of crossfertilization that occurs on an ongoing basis. This intellectual legacy remains with the organization even when the person providing it moves on.

It's a dear loss, but let's not lose sight of that which remains, as well as the next generation researchers waiting in the wings.

We don't know the reasons for this, but isn't a good thing for ESET...

Besides, ESET was very good before HB arrives, and will continue be without him...

Good luck HB for your new adventure... ;)
