    Hello everybody:

    I have the following error: "cannot create the image of the following logical drive c: becuase is it currently in use by running application or the logical drive has bad sectors:None"

    Error 33 (0x70021)

    I have checked the drive and the system is free of errors.

    This host is a W2000 SP4 2 SCSI drives without mirror

    This error is very tricky cause sometimes happens, sometimes not.

    Does anybody help me

    Regards

    Hello Prof_Moriarti,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.

    First of all, please try temporarily disabling\uninstalling any other software that requires an exclusive access to the hard drive, i.e. any other backup software, partition and disk managing software, antivirus applications, etc.

    If that does not help then please check each partition of both your hard drives by Windows utility: use Windows menu Start\Run, then enter the command "chkdsk c: /r" "chkdsk d: /r" for every partition of your hard drive. Note that you will need to reboot your computer in order to scan the system partition.

    Please also download the latest version of Acronis drivers, install it with disabled logging and see if the problem still persists.

    If the problem still persists then enable logging by running the Acronis drivers installation package once again, reproduce the problem and collect the c:\snapapi.log file.

    Please also provide us with the following information:

    - Create Acronis Report and Windows System Information as it is described in Acronis Help Post;

    - What exact version and build number of Acronis True Image do you use?

    You can find the full version name and build number by going to Help -> About... menu in the main program window;

    - Let us know when exactly you receive the error message you mentioned above;

    - Describe actions taken before the problem appears step-by-step.

    Please also make a screen shot of the Device Tree application:

    - Download and unpack the Device Tree application;

    - Run the application;

    - Completely unfold the \Driver\Disk and \Driver\FtDisk branches;

    - Move the margin to the left in order to see all the items;

    - Make a screen shot.

    Please submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.

    Thank you.
