Doofus that I am I had not backed up for some time.
As per here: http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=123146 I suspect I have done some damage!! I have been trolling along trying to figure out if I can recover with FDISR If I save a snapshot now, can I reinstall my XP and then salvage all my setup I really do not want to have to save all the data and reinstall everything Any suggestions? Thankyou.

Todd may have an idea, but taking a snapshot now will be exactly the same as your corrupt setup. Had you taken a snapshot prior to what you did you'd have already fixed the problem. I am not sure I see anyway a snapshot of a bad system can help you at this point. Maybe others might have some idea's. Pete |

Thanks
Was able to restore with selective uninstalls and turning off various protections then using ERUNT file from 2 weeks prior Lucky, lucky lucky. BIG reminder to have valid back-up of some sort in place.
