Default which firewall to go with norton 2005?

im asking which firewall to use with norton 2005. i was thinking of sygate... or should i just use windows firewall + norton worm protection? i just need a firewall until i nuy norton internet security

ps: i WILL NOT USE ZONEALARM IVE HAD SO MANY PROMBLEMS.

Sygate is a good firewall, had it in the past too.
If you're looking for a free one, you could also take a look at Sunbelt Kerio.

Me too, but that doesn't mean it's bad software.
It only wouldn't work on MY system.

I have used kerio with Norton AV and they got along very well.

I tried with NAV2005 Sygate Pro (no problem) and now I'm very pleased with "Look N' Stop" 2.05p2.

I also tried Outpost but had some BSOD (don't know if it was related to Norton though) ...

Disable the worm guard to start out with. It is a minimal firewall and if you have a full fledged firewall such as Windows firewall, Ghostwall, Sunbelt Kerio(highly recommended), Sygate (as long as you don't have a proxy), etc., then it should be disabled to avoid conflicts.
