NOD32 is the only one to make a true 100% detection of all virus in all tests in all categories. Superlatives from other anti-virus labs are snake oil. "The truth is out there, but it is easily twisted!" ![]() |

"all categories" ?
not exactly right: NOD32 is just average when it comes to detect trojans and worms. but on the other side, it can compete w/ KAV for the rest (VB proves it). Sincerely |

Worms are included in the VB tests. NOD32 scored 100% as usal. So how can you come to the conclusion that it is "average" on worms? wizard

Hi Nick
Test you posted was a little old; so here is a slightly 'newer' test :http://www.rokop-security.de/main/article.php?sid=494&mode=thread&order=0 The new version2 of NOD has I believe better detection of trojans and worms and a better unpacking engine than NOD1. However, most people would agree that it still needs to improve in these areas, particularly compared to KAV and other AV programs using the Kaspersky engine. |

thanks for the link Blackcat !
If NOD32 can't compete w/ KAV, I think it's enough to protect me against malwares. NOD32 is problably average for labs tests but for a classic user, I must admit it's a top-notch AV .No one needs to detect 50,000 virus ! |
