Default NAV2001PRO changes pop mail servers

I remember reading someplace that Norton has a bug which causes it to corrupt the mail pop mail server listing in Outlook Express. Well I had this happen to me today: pop-server,nyc.rr.com was changed to pop3.norton.antivirus.com or something like that. Does anyone know about this? Is there a work around? Thanks. I am using Win95b, I.E.5.5SP2, and OE 5.5.

Hi Digiti,

If we're talking about the same thing, this can not really be described as a 'bug'.

See the following Symantec article:

Email settings are changed when Norton AntiVirus email protection is enabled

I am sorry to bother. I found the same article at Norton myself just after I posted.Evidently it sets up a "pseudoproxy" to check e-mail before it is downloaded to the inbox. In any event, thanks for your timely response.
Regards,
