Is this a sound proposition for those that like to use proxy IP's ?
The short description is a 'free web proxy' http://www.hidemyass.com/about.php I don't use proxy's myself - but I thought if I'd present the link for comment in case it's of use to anybody else. |

It's still up & running: http://www.hidemyass.com/
I can't judge these things - but from what I read at the time it seemed to be quite popular. It has since been raised again here at Wilders where it was discussed in a little more depth:- http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showt...ight=hidemyass Downside I suppose is that you are too high profile you end up on a blocklist fairly quickly. Also you have to be able to handle the traffic your popularity generates. The sitemaker has stated here Sitepoint Forums that the Google ads are a necessary evil to pay for the 3 servers a month the site needs.
