Hi Claire
What version of NAV are you're using ![]() You can try this: Error: "LiveUpdate was unable to install any of the 1 updates that you selected..." Situation: When you run LiveUpdate, you see the error message "LiveUpdate was unable to install any of the 1 updates that you selected. All available updates were selected." http://service4.symantec.com/SUPPORT/sharedtech.nsf/d3c44a1678bd8f45852566aa005902cb/bb21d9d9fe1b579988256aa7005e5a05?OpenDocument&prev=»<A HREF= Automatic LiveUpdate does not update virus definitions, but manual LiveUpdate does Situation: Automatic LiveUpdate is enabled, and you have been connected to the Internet for a sufficient amount of time, but LiveUpdate has not updated your virus definitions. If you run LiveUpdate manually, then your virus definitions are updated normally. http://service4.symantec.com/SUPPORT/sharedtech.nsf/7e7f15291a25d938882567e50048a048/b4062595593cbef488256b2600712ada?OpenDocument OR Install the latest LU( Live update) 1.7.22.0 http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/files/lu/lu.html Hope this will help!!!! Claire,
Are you perhaps using the full HOSTS file from S.Martin? Sometimes the updates for NAV come through an Akamai server which might be blocked by the full HOSTS file. If that is the case, you can do several things: 1. download the NAV update manually using the Intelligent Updater from Symantec. 2. Temporarily disable HOSTS. The easiest way to do that is the use of Hostess. BTW: sometimes updates for the firewall NIS come also via an Akamai server which might be blocked by the full HOSTS |
