File Hippo? Clean downloads?
Just wanting to know it this is a trustworthy site to download from. What do you think?

Yep, they actaully hosts the files themselfs, and keep only files that are okay, and some that are great I've been downloading from them...

Thanks so much for letting me know. Now for one more website... C/Net Download.com Is this site okay to download games and such from? I was thinking of downloading some games for my children. Thanks again for the heads up. Blessings, Teresa |

Oh no.. I'd be cautious about download.com, some files are safe though.
[update] It's actually debatable whether they are clean, they don't fiddle with the files themselves but they host some pretty bad software.. If you want to know some good download spots, look here but read the comments first.. Last edited by GUI_Tex : February 8th, 2006 at 11:57 PM. |
