how do i search a thread?

hi, how can i find what i'm looking for in a long thread? similar to how it's done in this post?

also, is it possible to see all the posts i have made in a thread? like that music one in 10F - Can you name the Song & Artist? thanks.

The example LWM gives in this thread is a good one to try.

For that one a Search\Advanced Search brought back 10 posts.

thanks, i was hoping for some kind of magic because i can't remember the name or who it's by (anyway they got the group wrong ) i use google quite a bit too, it works some of the time. but i think there should be a way to find all your posts in a certain thread because i have only written about 6 posts in that thread. it wouldn't be difficult for me to go through and find what i'm looking for.

BTW i tried google the other day and the page it found was the wrong page

OK, i posted under a different name now i need to find out who it's by because there are two versions, the one i want isn't by Moloko. thanks for the help.
