That's not a valid argument to trust everything they write.

But no problem at all, when you are the opinion the test is reliable, everything is fine.:)

I have my doubts for the reason i gave before.
My sources to make an opinion about AV's are for sure not PC Magazines.;)

yeah yeah, so you say we should trust some dudes like virus.gr and other not knowing av-test and pc magazine could have wrong, i belive pc magazine then some dudes that makes own av-test, and if they like a speciall antivirus then they make it that his speciall favorite antivirus has won...Because he can change all the settings, so i trust a rather on PC Magazine then some st dudes.
And yes we all know that Mcafee, Bitdefender and Kaspersky are and always was the best av's around, they are so known and everybody knows about them.

NOD32 has the best heuristics and is forgotten by PC Magazine, while AVG Free was included ?
Is that logical to put it mildly ?
I think I stick to the av-comparatives of IBK as usual. :)

I think I'd like to know a little bit more about the tests and who did them before commenting.

AV-Test.org did the test, so the results are reliable and trustable.

The test is done together with AV-Test.

What i don't understand, is how PCM rates the results.

With other words: what is important for them and what not?

    Price?
    Costs telephone hotline?
    Detection rate?
    Update frequency?
    etc. etc. etc.

And heuristic detection with two-month-old signatures doesn't make sense to meo_O

I guess IBK has no pc magazine that can be bought every single month. :)

    Yep, is correct.

But what are PCM's criteria to come to their ranking?

Geesj IBK, you are faster then Speedy Gonzales, the fastest mouse in the world!;)

Ok, i have seen it, it wouldn't be my choice to come to a specific rating, matter of experience (and personal taste, i guess):)

F.e. cost, design and easy to use are not important to me:shifty:

Sorry, but I'm not impressed by this test. It's too vague.
The only thing, that impressed me in this thread was IBK's response time. :)

if heuristics test, have not nod32,BD,Dr.WEB and vba32.
I think this will become meaningless, and just like a advertisement!:p

    Not only the best.

But for sure "forgetting" NOD32 is no good at all, especially 'cause NOD has very good heuristics.

AV-Test.org and forgetting NOD32, what kind of combination is that ?
Makes me getting second thoughts about AV-Test.org.
But I assume its a mistake.

It's like testing a Ford, Honda and Subaru and proclaiming one of them the best.

They could have mentioned that there are other quality AV's out there but as it is, readers with little PC experience will think this is the definitive list.
