Default Zone Alarm Security Suite question

Is it a real bad thing that ZA suite has no indication of DLL authentication, I mean isn't this very important? I mean even if it does this on its own why wouldn't it involve user in a critical decision like a DLL loading?

ZASS and other versions of ZA do have component control, Program Control panel > Main tab > Program Control group/section. Instead of going through the full spiel, take a look in the help file under Program Control > Setting general program control options. That whole section explains each option more thoroughly than I could, without copying word for word, and may provide added insight to the functionality in ZASS.

As for user action when a component wants to load, that is a subject you will find hotly debated. By that I mean there are many vocal users that would like to see most if not all alerts suppressed, many will not even tolerate balloon tooltips or popups. So adding more alerts will cause an even bigger uproar about alerts appearing. Especially with apps becoming more dependent on loading dll's during its execution, that I would guess even the most security conscious person would soon tire of all the alerts.

So is it a bad thing that by default the user is not presented with an alert every time a dll wants to load, I don't think so. Keeping in mind that you can always tighten this feature, thus getting more requests for your intervention.
