Default Partition Merge Screwed Up - DD Suite 10 build 2089

First time tried this software and i am regretting doing it already.
I had 2 partitions both being 17GB in size, one partition was empty the other has about 13GB of data in it.
I have tried to merge both the partitions together to create a total of 34GB.
After the program analysed the partitions which took about 2 1/2 hours i thought it has finished, it asked me to reboot and commit which i did, now about 15 hours have past and it is still showing about 33% progress.
My data is extremely important and the backup is not up to date.
How long will this last, and even after that will the data be there 100% or should i pull the plug now?
I wish i had manually deleted and rebuilt the partition!!!!! would have taken max 1 hour for everything.
If anyone can enlighten me would be highly appreciated.
Regards

Not done a merge - but that sound way too long to move that amount of data.

If the data is important - Pm one of the Acronis guys before you power down.
