MBAM Pro is doing great here. It gulps down much ram for it's measure though.

Can anyone suggest what the BEST / most secure firewall is, even if it requires paying?
I'm super paranoid when it comes to the leaking of personal data, and would like to install something that's super-paranoid and super-effective. Thanks |

Considering that we're mostly in a day and age where attackers try to trick us to run something, especially with administrator privileges, I've decided to follow a different approach.
The approach is: Run full administrator. That way, they won't even try to trick me, they'll just do it. That way, I won't feel cheated and sad about it. If you can't fight them, join them. Right? ![]() Just kidding... mine has been pretty much the same for a few years now. ![]() |

@ WestCoastJoe.The Best firewall is a matter of opinion, but some of the more popular here are.
1.Comodo 2.Look n Stop 3.Online Armor 4.Outpost 5.Privatefirewall

I'm actually setting up a new computer today, and want it to start out super-secure from the get go. Here's what I'm thinking:
Comodo Firewall GData suite (since I've got an existing license, but will turn its firewall off) Hitman Pro, set to run once a week Sandboxie, for running all browsers and internet-facing stuff in Firefox in Sandboxie, noscript / ghostery Sound safe? |

If you configure Sandboxie and Comodo right, it's almost unbeatable. P.S.: add something to backup your system.

Automatically delete contents as this will empty the sandbox after each browsing session.
