Sure. The link you posted and I quoted.
And they aren't my findings, they are MBAM's findings and AVG ThreatLab's findings.

MBAM Pro is doing great here. It gulps down much ram for it's measure though.

It's especially felt when using a netbook of low ram.

Can anyone suggest what the BEST / most secure firewall is, even if it requires paying?

I'm super paranoid when it comes to the leaking of personal data, and would like to install something that's super-paranoid and super-effective.

Thanks

Considering that we're mostly in a day and age where attackers try to trick us to run something, especially with administrator privileges, I've decided to follow a different approach.

The approach is: Run full administrator. That way, they won't even try to trick me, they'll just do it. That way, I won't feel cheated and sad about it.

If you can't fight them, join them. Right?

Just kidding... mine has been pretty much the same for a few years now.

@ WestCoastJoe.The Best firewall is a matter of opinion, but some of the more popular here are.
1.Comodo
2.Look n Stop
3.Online Armor
4.Outpost
5.Privatefirewall

I'm actually setting up a new computer today, and want it to start out super-secure from the get go. Here's what I'm thinking:

Comodo Firewall
GData suite (since I've got an existing license, but will turn its firewall off)
Hitman Pro, set to run once a week
Sandboxie, for running all browsers and internet-facing stuff in
Firefox in Sandboxie, noscript / ghostery

Sound safe?

If you configure Sandboxie and Comodo right, it's almost unbeatable.

P.S.: add something to backup your system.

Just incase your new to Sandboxie, under settings-Delete-Delete Invocation, tick the box
Automatically delete contents as this will empty the sandbox after each browsing session.

A few too many bugs still present in Windows 8 RP, so I've moved back to Windows 7 for now.
