I also like installing my software, it's not much anyways, just EAM + OA + EMET and my daily software such as Chrome, Daemon etc.

I have added Nod32 AV to my setup and set UAC on default.

Nod is monitoring system partition, download folder, Outlook and http traffic.

EDIT: also added Ghostery to Firefox and Chrome.

Smart man. A very good choice and actually a pretty solid combo.

My Dr.Web license will expire in a few months so I'm trying some free alternatives.

Currently it's W7 firewall + W7 firewall control + UAC + MSE

I might say this setup integrates well, is quite light, works silently without any errors or problems and offers enough protection for me.

I super rarely change my setup as it has been flawless for years... updated few stuff:

1) SandboxIE
2) Avast! free
3) Emet
4) Windows Firewall Control
5) Applocker

I had to uninstall Nod32 av because of signature update problems. Every update would end up killing my internet connection. I posted about the issue in their forum but Eset never responded. I liked version 2.7 but every version after that seems to come with problems for me. Although I know some people really like Nod.

Default Re: What is your security setup these days?

I haven't changed my setup in over a year now... since adding Sandboxie. And I can't imagine that changing until they stop supporting XP and I'm forced to "upgrade".

And even then, I doubt things will change much. I'll probably add EMET to take advantage of some added functionality in the OS. Maybe just use MSE if it's so light I don't notice it's there anyway (which I hear is the case).

With a router, hardened OS/browser, virtual sessions, and safe habits... all this software becomes quite moot. I haven't posted in here in ages because I haven't had anything to say.

A lot of third party firewalls eventually block things they shouldn't. Just go with the windows one.

Nice EAM and OA and EMET should suffice very well.Battle the malware and not each other. Not to little and not to much either a very good balance IMO.

I loved 2.7 and I still like newer versions, but there was something about 2.7 that was like my first love that I will never forget.Thats if alzheimers dont kick in.

You have great, tight setup

Are you using EQsecure, Comodo and PrivateFirewall on single system? If so, how are they running together?
