Yeah. I installed the right version this time. It seems to be hanging when starting firefox sandboxed. It also took forevvverrr to set up the white list. I uninstalled it for the moment. I'll try using it again when I'm not so tired.

Finally got around to loading up Keriver 1-Click Restore Free. I've been a long-time Macrium Reflect fan, but this seems pretty good. And since you all are liking Faronics Anti-Executable, I'm trying that alongside Sandboxie, seems like it would be a good match. Machine is fast fast fast.

Sorry, have to take back my smoothie. Had a major problem after trying to return FAE from Maintenance mode and couldn't boot the system. Luckily I'd just installed Keriver 1-Click yesterday and had a fresh image to install. Back to Mamutu.

Ok, Ok....I finally made up my mind after trying out three different security configurations.

So here is my final decision:

Real-Time Protection:
Comodo Internet Security (Antivirus, Defense +, Firewall Combo)
Sandboxie

On-Demand Protection:
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware FREE
Emsisoft Anti-Malware FREE
Cobian Backup (Gravity)

I decided to give Firefox 12 for a spin, even though Maxthon is my default at the moment....Here is the protection I use in Firefox:

Referrer disabled
Geolocation disabled
Do Not Track (Build-In option selected)
PrivacyChoice TrackerBlock
BetterPrivacy
Remove Cookies for Site
AdBlock Lite
WOT (Web Of Trust)
Clear History when firefox closes (Selected)

My wireless router is also configured to maximum hardware firewall settings.

And out of all the backup software I tested, I decided to give Cobian Backup (Gravity) a go...It's quite nice.

I tested this out in my virtual machine, and nothing slipped through it. Since I am satisfied with it's results....This configuration will be going on all my computers.

My mind is at ease....Finally

Thanks, I do feel much better using this setup. It's like when you buy your first house, you just know...It feels right. That is the feeling I get using this setup, I am satisfied, after pulling contemplating for so long. I tried out the Keriver 1-Click, it seems pretty good, But I like the features Cobian Backup (Gravity) has to offer more...If you get the chance, you should check that out (It's FREE) Figured I would mention that one.

I have used keyscrambler before, I had the premium version at one point and it operated quite well for awhile, but most recent version gave me problems...So, I uninstalled it.

Skydrive is a good service, I use that from time to time.

I did like some features of Keriver 1-Click, but ended up not liking it totally, So I am giving Cobian Backup (Gravity) for a spin.

As for tightening down Comodo and Sandboxie, I went ahead and done so.

You have some good ideas though, Thanks for your help

Yeah, for some reason it ended up turning red, giving errors and no longer giving me scrambling letters in the tray icon....Couldn't get it to work after all that. It's a bummer too, because when it does work...It's awesome.

My NEW Setup:

Realtime Protection:

-Webroot SecureAnywhere Complete
-Emsisoft Anti-Malware 6.5

On Demand Protection:

-Malwarebytes
-Hitman Pro

I hope it is a good and save protection.
How often do you guys let the on Demand scanners scan your computer?

Greats,

darts

Your setup looks good man, good job. I usually run an On-Demand scanner if I've been dealing with a lot of files. I usually scan if I feel like it's needed. If you think something got through, then I would say do a scan.

Some people constantly do scans quite frequently. I guess it's just based off your best judgement. If you use an On-Demand scanner with a built in scheduler, you can also have it scan ever so often if you like.
