Default Re: What is your security setup these days?

Finally found the ultimate security setup:

Running a custom (I built and modified it from sources) Linux 3.1 kernel 64Bit with Selinux.
Only needed services/daemons installed.
All complied from scratch.
All pakages installed from source (Firewall, Firefox, Chromium, Bastille)
Using UFW firewall to easily configure iptables
iptables blocks entire Russian and Chinese ip blocks.
PSAD (Port Scan Attack Detector) Used to block any IP that port scans me.
Bastille - Linux Hardening "wizard".
LUKS/LVM Encrypted disk with bootloader and MBR on flashdrive and back up on CD-R.
Selinux is set to Enforce all.
Tripwire integrity checker.
chkrootkit and rkhunter (just in case).

Now I want to see someone hack that

Very nice backup setup. Mines is similar just using a different backup program.

You dont need to do so much
by just installing Linux, you have eliminated 99% of risks automatically

On my dad lappie win7 64bit :

Spyshelter : restrict IE and Firefox, auto allow - medium
MSE : auto quarantine / delete
EMET

He use it for browsing (internet banking) and a little bit gaming

Any idea to make it more "silent" yet secure?

True But I wanted to make it as bullet proof as possible. My next try will be making the OS "re-image" itself every boot. The kernel will also be read-only and ciphered with a random key (which is wiped from RAM on shutdown).

Were I not running 64-bit, this would most likely be my setup too. That being said, I'm extremely happy with Sandboxie!

Had to ditch Sandboxie with Firefox for now, due to a lot of Not Responding problems within Firefox.

I'm back to basics (on my home machine at least).

ESS
DynDNS
Spywareblaster
Spybot S&D

Some other stuff not worth mentioning.
