No particular reason, only that it's bought and paid for and as I've had no problems with this version on XP, if it ain't broke.....

I don't think so, I mean, sometimes it's true, but new software have better and redisigned engines, etc.

    My opinion.

    Regards.

I am now using ESET Smart Security :D

I am struggling to find a post on here about installing an antivirus and having it only run at certain time, such as downloads, by playing around in the registry, was it maybe Avast? If anyone has a link or can help me out I would really appreciate it :thumb:

Yeah, CIS have been behaving really well compared to older versions. (Pop ups are minimal now)
    And Keyscrambler have been flawless.

Have been using avast! Free Antivirus for a while now on my main pc, I think I will also settle with this for a while. avast! is really light and unobtrusive, also you can configure it to your own taste. On the other hand, I think the user interface is quite messy in some areas, next to that the Dutch localization is quite sloppy.
But like I said, I while use it for next period, until one of the best Beta test periods ever will begin, in my order of interest:
    1. ESET version 5
    2. Prevx version 4
    3. avast! version 6
Also version 2012 Beta of major vendors like Kaspersky and Norton is on the horizon (probably around April/May). I hope Kaspersky starts heading the right direction and stop their tendency to bloatware and Norton keeps finetuning it's product. Also I am looking forward to how the 2012 versions of McAfee and F-Secure will be. Next to that Hitman Pro version 4 will be around the corner.

CIS is really great IMO:thumb: Surely way ahed other security suites. Excellent layered defense in one application.
Indeed the combo i kept longer was CIS (a version before the sandbox was included) + Sandboxie + Avira Free.

duh! finally dawned on me. Instead of changing software 20 times a day, give-em what they deserve. Lol

    Life is easy now.:thumb:
