That is not the point... The point is not everyone is aware of how it can be backed up and how to save your bacon after comodo decides its not worth anything if you try to remove it...

Absolutely correct. And i am sure they'll soon improve it.. Just give them sometime ... They already made lot of useful and high quality products.

Default Re: What is your security setup these days?

My updated setup on Windows 7 Ultimate x64. I am much satisfied and secure with it.

1. KIS 2011 CF1 (11.0.1.400 ab) interactive mode and manually configured HIPS, Firewall, Anti-Banner, Custom Scan, and Exclusions for my personal needs. Offline updates via Kaspersky Updater (2.2.0.72) (Schedules every 1-hour). I also use KIS Vulnerability Scan to check system security status. KIS configuration is password protected.
2. Structured Exception Handling Overwrite Protection (SEHOP), Full Data Execution Prevention (DEP), CWDIllegalInDLLSearch Patch, and User Account Control (UAC) enabled. Software Restriction Policies (SRP) defined as ”Disallow” with additional rules/exceptions. Very secure generic approaches.
3. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.46 Pro (Protection module enabled/Website blocking disabled).
4. Manually configured WinPatrol PLUS 2010 (18.1.2010) for supplementary HIPS protection as well as useful "Delayed Start" feature. CPU Temp, Windows Task Manager, and Returnil tray icon starts after 10, 20, and 30 sec delay on each restart. To clean my startup list/entries, I use Autoruns (10.02).
5. Monthly backup with Active Boot Disk Suite (5.0.5) bootable USB.
6. Returnil System Safe Home Lux 2011 (3.2.10351-5418-REL3) to virtualize my system most of the time. I disable system safe only for Windows/Software Updates + for KIS updates (every 3 days). It also helps me try new software(s) before actual install on my system. Currently testing RollBack Rx 9.1 (2695223310) to replace RSS.
7. KIS sandbox to virtualize browsing dangerous sites. It works very well.
8. Firefox 3.6.10 (latest build) with ABP (EasyList, Fanboy's List, Fanboy's Tracking/Stats Blocking) , No Script, Better Privacy, Memory fox, and Office 2010 theme for Firefox.
9. All softwares are up-to-date. All those updates (software/windows), which do not require restart, are tested before applying to actual system.
10. Use of common sense (version Beta) and updated knowledge about latest threats.

Any suggestion will be welcomed.

Most of you guys are more protected than a nuke facility. I don't even want to know how burdened your systems must be.
