Default Sony Rootkit

Hows everyone doing with the rootkit problem. I am just wondering down the AV's are doing. For me process guard is doing its job against rootkit install.

This again proves my point that trojan problems are a bigger issue that viruses, and AV's dont do a very good job against rootkits.

Sony are recalling all their rootkitted discs and are not going to use this method (for now)

AVs appear to be adding detection, but to "uncloak" the installed files. There doesn't actually seem to be a full removal utility from any of the security vendors, and this is probably due to legal reasons. Sony have issued an uninstall program, which "uncloaks", and they advise to contact them if one wishes to remove everything in its entirety.
