Question port 1394 issue

Can anyone help me with a 1394 Firewire issue. I just purchase a new case with front 1394 and 2 usb ports. I do not know where to plug the 1394 plugs into.

The motherboard is an ASUS P4S800MX. I have searched online but to no avail.

Please help

Zoe

Does your motherboard support 1394 Firewire?

Looked at the motherboard manual and I don't think it does CrazyM... so I think this means I have to get a IEEE PCI card if I want to use firewire can anyone confirm? I know I'm not too good with computers. Thank you.

If you plan on using IEEE-1394 with your current motherboard you will need a firewire -> PCI adaptor. Shop around a little as transfer rates will vary.
