Default VMWare Player + Browser App = bypass corporate proxy?

ok--i have a question about VMWare Player and its Browser Appliance:

i wanted to use this at work--in an effort to bypass their proxy and Smartfilter.

would the Player and Browser Appliance be able to achieve this?

thanks for any answers!

No it won't ... regardless of any setup on a local PC, network traffic has to be funnelled through that proxy/portal, which is where this filtering takes place.
