    Hello,
I'm a newbie as well, bought the Disk Director Suite this morning and went to work.

I just want to confirm what I have seen in another post. I run Windows XP home and wanted to partition my 160Gb drive. I tried all kind of different scenarios but the partitions never got created but endless reboots (2 with each scenario) and I also never had an error message.
CHKDSK /r showed no errors as well

    Hours later:
The only way to get the disk partioned was to use the bootable CD which I created before I started and created the partitions from the CD Image. This was working without a flaw and in lightning speed.

Thought that this might be a tip for another newbie almost loosing his mind :D

    regards
    Juerg

PS: I don't expect any replies as all is fine for me

Juerg, you had better be SURE you are TOTALLY backed up before using DD 10.

Based on many others' posts, DD 10 appears to be unstable, as compared to DD 9. :p
