Will NOD32 protect against First-4 (Sony/BMG) Rootkit

    Anti-virus software developers have taken a mixed stance against the rootkit installed by Sony's audio cds (unknown to users, compromises kernel security, allows other software to leak in).

    What is the official stand of NOD32?

    Will it protect against First-4's audio cd protection rootkit filter driver?

    How about other such protections, which will come more common place in the future?

    Will NOD32 detect, intervene and allow user to prevent the installation of such software on one's machine?

    Sony are supposed to be making a patch that will uncloak all the hidden stuff so AV software can catch any malware piggy backing in on it.
