Since I have a couple of Windows machines that are only connectable via RDP (no keyboard or monitor attached) I was wondering how I should proceed in the initial setup of ESS in order to make sure they allow RDP from external IP adresses. As it is right now I can only connect via local adresses and I am a bit puzzled over how I feed the setup this allowance in every setup? Can it be done via some ini file?
In this very moment I am sitting off my local network, having to get to some files, which I obviously can not. |

One of the following two KB Articles may help:
How do I add a trusted IP address to allow connection to a network device such as a computer or printer? (5.x) How do I open or close (allow or deny) a remote IP address on my ESET Smart Security Personal firewall? (5.x)

When installing ESS via RDP, firewall will remain disabled until you create the appropriate rules and enable it.
