Question What to purchase? ESS or NOD32?

I know this is an Eset biased forum but please give me an honest answer

IF you were gonna buy a paid antivirus, would you go for NOD32 only or ESS? I have read on many sites that Eset's Firewall is useless so I was contemplating whether or not to go for NOD32 on itws own and stick to the Windows Firewall?

Thanks

ESS also has a spam filter, the firewall works fine it may not be a super firewall but for me does the job without becoming totally intrusive. It also is an integral part of the security suite. NOD 32 av only also is a fine choice & works very well with the built in firewall in windows.

I loved v2.7 and v4 but I don't like v3, v5 or v6 Beta and it all depends what you really want? I tried both EAV & ESS!

Myself I usually buy the ESS license as it allows me to use either one. I do not consider their firewall to be the best but I do consider it to be more useful than the Windows firewall. You can use it to see what active connections you have, something I wish all firewalls did.

That's a good idea since the price difference is small. I guess Ill just buy the ESS and use it for NOD32 if I wish

if you are in the usa you can find it very cheap. they always have it on sale at places like newegg or there are places that still have boxes v4's that the lic will work on all the newest versions. you can get a 1yr 3pc boxed v4 for under 20$ if you look around
