I might. I've been meaning to start a project.

Open source doesn't mean free though, my 'business model of choice' would be open source.

Naturally I wouldn't charge for this though.

The big reason I wouldn't do this is because I assume they'll be doing it themselves. I was actually thinking of using my old Droid Eris and porting BackTrack 5 to it, which would be way cooler.

Not long ago guest had supplied a link to a utility provided by GRC (Gibson Research Corporation) which measures the DNS response time. I picked the fastest at the time. Google which was my choice turned out to be very slow for my geographical position.

Yeah, I know open source != free.

But, what better way to do something if not by needing it? That's how I started learning Powershell and scripting with it; I needed things to be done, without requiring third-party tools.

After all, you complained you wanted a GUI, and if they don't give it to you, and you got the knowledge, then why not do it (and share, if you'd like to)?

Decided I'll probably end up writing the DNSCrypt GUI and release it. I think it'll be fun. Thanks for the idea m00n.

I'll give you a case of beer if you make a Linux GUI for DNScrypt which we can download from Ubuntu's repo

I use DNScrypt on Linux and Norton on Windows btw.
