Question Is it safe to allow ESET mobile access to Device Administrator?

Hi,

I've just downloaded ESET for mobile on my Android phone (HTC Desire S) and it is asking me to allow it access to device administrator - but all the warnings say that it will be able to wipe my phone etc. and I wanted to check that it is completely safe before I do so.

ALSO - has the uninstall issure been fixed does anyone know? Don't want to give it DA access if it would require a reset to remove the app in the future.

Thanks,

Mediamule

Hello,

It is safe to allow ESET Mobile Security device administrator access.

The fix for uninstallation issues was implemented a few builds ago. As far as I know, there have not been any reports since then.

Regards,

Aryeh Goretsky
