I think it is a good idea to, at least to some extent, maintain your own copy of medical records. You can scan and in some cases download test reports and put them in a folder. You can make notes and put those in that folder. In many cases you can get a CD/DVD of or download XRAY, MRI, etc files which you could also put in that folder. It is a good idea to have a medical card in your wallet which is kept up to date WRT emergency contacts, allergies, conditions, medications, etc. You can make your own and store the graphics file for that card in the folder too.
