Default Comparison Home vs Business

Hi guys, were do I find a comparison between the Home versions and the Webroot SecureAnywhere Business - Endpoint Protection?

I like to know if the Business version lacks or adds some features to the product.

Cheers

Here is some info: http://www.webroot.com/En_US/busines...rity-saas.html & http://www.webroot.com/En_US/busines...-endpoint.html I personally have not tried it but hear great things about Managing and Deploying it.

The actual binary application is exactly the same (the consumer product is the business product) but there are several additional tools for managing your installation, deploying, and centrally configuring protection policies which come as a part of the SecureAnywhere web console.

The features are largely identical to the new AV product except that the System Cleaner is also included in the Business product.

Hope that helps!

Thank you guys!
Can you run the SecureAnywhere web console from a remote location? The name kind of tells me that but I want to be sure.
I am asking because I run the IT for a number of different small companies, 2-10 users.
If I like to have them under the same "roof" so to speak, just adding licenses to my company handling all of them from there, would that be possible?
Then I do not have to create a new account and costumer number for every single one of them, and at the same time I would be able to manage them from the same console.
Does this make any sense to you?

Yes, that's exactly how it works

I can validate that yes, that's how it works, since I do the same thing. It's amazingly effective and I've not had to disinfect a single machine since installing at any of the places I installed on. Different "console" (Company View) for each keycode and I'm set.

This is very interesting as I have my whole family and most friends that are not to tech savvy on WSA say 10 to 15 computers with different keys does it benefit a home user like myself in this case as I know I can set the setting via my personal web console on My Webroot to be able to manage there systems via My Computer or Web Console?

You may be able to link them together in the Consumer version but I believe this is primarily used for Business users. I could be mistaken, however, and I'll take a look to see if I can find the answer

The endpoint protection is more costly per seat and starts at five, but the management capabilities through the console are tremendous. I can literally get a full inventory of their system, see all unknowns, see who got infected and when, run arbitrary utilities on the system, block web sites if necessary, block specific programs, etc.

It has more options on the web control interface than on the program itself! I know this because every single setting in the program can be individually-managed, plus more that aren't in the program, and a lot of other things too. From a central management standpoint, it's a lifesaver for me both business-wise and family-wise. I can also just get six more seats added to a license if I need to, for example.

Seems like a big here
You say it starts at 5 users, can you buy one by one later on?

Thanks guys!

Edit: Just got an idea: What if Webroot had a virtual environment were you could test this out on the homepage, add users, set them up, remove users, etc, etc.
It would be great to be able to test drive the management console before buying?
Or maybe this exists already?

I believe you can add on one at a time after, but you may want to write into our sales inbox. We're in the process of making a demo environment but it's still in development. In the meantime, you should be able to start a trial of the product (which is 14 days, I believe, and fully functional).

Let me know what you think

Thanks!
When the time comes I will do just that, right now I am only planning ahead.
2 years back I did manage a 50+ installation of Prevx, but that was one company and using the console inside the LAN.
First I will try to catch up on all features, prepare for some dumb questions
To sell in the product I need to understand how WSA can benefit every different costumer, as I always install individually in regards to what the users skill level and position in the company require.

?

The trial is 30 days, fully functional, and fully-supported.

The only "downside" to the trial is that Sales will probably contact you to see how things are going. I only say downside because some people consider it a downside, but having followup to address questions is useful to others.

You can find the trial at at http://www.webroot.com/En_US/business-trial.html (Different set up for the trial than when I used it. Let us know how that works for you, because I'm curious.)

I just checked it out because of your post and it is indeed very extensive. Btw, do you know where you can change the language of the web console? I found out that there are different languages in the release notes and it also shows a screenshot but I can't find the option anywhere.

... No.
Never looked for such a thing myself.

Tried changing the browser default language? Some web sites use that when they lack a language selector.

There is a language selection drop down in the top right of the login screen

As already mentioned earlier in the thread, the quickest way to get your hands on the business console would be by using the trial. All you need to do is install the business software, scan your computer, and then enter your email address when prompted. This will then take you straight in to view your (currently only) endpoint

Thanks, no wonder I couldn't find it when already logged in
