Hi All:

Sunbelt has released the next build of CounterSpy Consumer 2.1, build 917, which can be considered a bug fix build. Among the issues addressed in this build are the following:

- Upgrade from 1.5.82 to 2.1.906 causes "Error 2343.Specified path is empty"
- Help > Support > Technical Support link needs to be updated
- AP does not enable on Vista
- Silent install brings up install wizard
- "Downloaded Software" dialog shows installed version
instead of downloaded (new) version
- Install should not allow installation on Vista beta builds
- AP does not start after reboot on Vista
- Scheduled Scan skips memory and registry
- AP not block executing files that are in definitions
- CSC chokes on anomalous 1 kb file

This new build can be downloaded and installed through the Automatic Update facility of CounterSpy. It can also be manually downloaded and installed from Sunbelt's web site:

We encourage all CounterSpy users to upgrade to this new version, which is a free upgrade for all registered users of CounterSpy.

The next build of CounterSpy 2.1 is now available for download. Given that this build is currently considered a limited release bug fix build, it is available only as a manual download via this link:

This build may be wide-released to the general public within the next week, however, at which point it will be made available through Automatic Updates.
