Hello,

Crystal Security is anti-malware tool with real-time protection to block, detect and remove malware from computer.
There is Whitelist/Blacklist - user is able to set files into these groups.
Checkup feature helps to detect malware and suspicious files on your computer.

Crystal X is useful tool to analyze files with multiple public services like VirusTotal,
NictaTech, Comodo Valkyrie, CAMAS and Comodo File Intelligence.
Checkup feature is also available but there is no Real-Time protection.
User is also able to Analyze all running processes automatically with VirusTotal service.

Regards,
Kardo

Hi,

Yes, it is normal.

Under Crystal Security 'Settings' you can see 'Start with Windows' - this is checked by default and it will
create Crystal Security.exe file automatically under Start Menu directory.

If you want to delete it from Start Menu folder, then start Crystal Security with admin rights, go to 'Settings',
uncheck 'Start with Windows' and click 'Apply'.

After that Crystal Security.exe is automatically removed from Startup (Start menu folder).

Regards,
Kardo

What engines does crystal security use? I saw on the changelog that it uses two engines.

Hello,

Thank you for your interest.

First engine is VirusTotal and second is Comodo File Intelligence.

A = VirusTotal
B = Comodo File Intelligence

Anything else you need, please let me know.

Regards,
Kardo

Thanks Kardo. Is this a real time engine or just on demand?
