I can't make a vote for this poll.
In the past, I've used Office 2007 and 2010 and I liked them better than the older versions. I find it easier to use the Ribbon interface (I know many here don't like it but this is personal choice and don't wish to go into arguments/debate over it). However, I don't wish to install MS Office just for that. At the moment, I have none installed seeing that my needs for an office suite is minimal. Nowadays, if I (or my family members) need to use an office suite, we tend to use online services such as Office Web Apps and Google Docs. P.S. I still haven't quite 'decide' on whether to get an offline office suite and IF I do - which offline office suite to use. IF I do, I would prefer 'slimmer' packages such as the ones in Kingsoft, SoftMaker FreeOffice, etc. However, I also prefer one that supports opening (and saving into) OpenXML format. LibreOffice does that when compared to other freeware offerings. It also has the advantage of being open-source and actively updated/worked upon. Tough decision...

I tried 2007 but I really disliked it so I used MSO 2002 XP until recently when I bought 2010 which is quite solid.

And let me guess... The installation is 1/10th of office 2010. That's what I love about older MSO. |

This week, I figured out how to get a free copy of the most complete version of Microsoft Office 2010 - thanks to an agreement or alliance of some sort between my university and Microsoft.
I'm now a happy user of Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus. And, I have to say: this software package is, by a wide margin, superior/better than every other office suite or office app (text editor, presentation app, spreadsheets app, etc) in every area - including performance in most cases. Anyone who says otherwise is fooling himself. Now, I plan to try Microsoft Office 2013 - maybe next year. |

I'm quite satisfied with 2003 and leave it on my comps (with compatibility packet). Though when I work on comps with newer offices I like them as well.

Yeah, that was an insane deal. To be honest i prefer the old MSO interface (Pre 2010) but i still keep using 2010 just to get used to it.
It's still quite hard to use the ribbon bar but i'm getting used to it.

You could install UBitMenu which brings back the menus. http://www.ubit.ch/software/ubitmenu-languages/ I really don't know why Microsoft didn't keep the menus in Office for people who don'r want to use the ribbon, or so they can use both menus and the ribbon while they are getting used to using the ribbon interface.

No option for "none". Can't vote. None of my PCs have MS office.
