Default Create a backup on an FTP server from the command line

I have been looking at the command line options that you can use to create backups. The last chapter of the user guide details some of the options, but it doesn't say whether you can back things up to an FTP server from the command line.

I have tried a few variations on things such as /filename and /partition, but nothing seems to work.

Does anyone know if you can use FTP from the command line, or if there are maybe some more examples of CLI usage available??

Default Re: Create a backup on an FTP server from the command line

Hello jonl,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.

I'm afraid that none of the currently available Acronis True Image versions allows saving backups to FTP in command line interface. At the moment, you can backup to FTP using graphical user interface only. However, we do have plans to implement the ability to save backups to FTP when using command line interface in the future Acronis True Image builds\versions, but exact time frame for this feature to be implemented is not decided yet. We are very sorry if this fact causes you any inconveniences.

If you have any further questions concerning Acronis software, please feel free to submit a request for technical support or post any of them on this forum. We will certainly try to help you in resolving any issues.

Thank you.

Hi jonl.

In the meantime, have you considered using a post backup script to ftp the backup and then delete the local copy?
