Less than 2,20 $ a month. I don't mean to be provocative, but AVs companies need to pay for constant research into malware. I bought the Premium as a donation, at the moment I have Avira only on demand without any of its active
guards installed.

I really believe the free version is more than adequate, especially using any of the most recent browsers' versions (IE8 will scan for malicious executables, Chrome notifies of malicious websites, Firefox has NoScript and WOT, I don't know what Opera uses, but it is well known for its security).

IMO $26 is ridiculously cheap for a high quality AV like Avira. I bought it myself and have no regrets.

Compare that to KAV or NOD32.

KAV Suite - $80
KAV AV - $60
KAV Mobile Phone - $40

All 1 year licenses and single PC.

NOD32 Smart Security - 1 year - $60 2-year $90
NOD32 AV - 1 year - $40 2-year $60
NOD32 Mobile Phone - 1 year - $25 2 year - $40

All single PC licenses.

At $26 for a full suite your paying less than other leading AV softwares charge for mobile phone protection.

The prices you are quoting for Eset are not renewal prices. Renewal prices were the subject of disinter1's original post.

The price is ok, but in any case that is your decision. Consider Avast free antivirus as a replacement since it's the only free product with features that commercial products usually offer.

Now about the rest. Lately I prefer to spend money on programs that increase productivity, entertainement ( I don't mean games ) and mainly software that add other layers of protection and easy-reliable backup( like Paragon products, Returnil or Rollback RX and similar ). I have decided to not pay again for an antivirus that uses signatures for detection. The only case that I could consider buying such a product would be a generous family/lan pack.

But Don't Forget...

WOT is also available for IE8

Works Great Too!
I think the only function that Firefox - WOT has at the moment ... That IE - WOT currently doesn't have - Is...
The New Right Click For Scorecard Feature.
Quote:
Firefox users have a new shortcut to the WOT scorecard. Right click on any link and the menu includes the option to see the WOT scorecard. This is especially useful when you are surfing in a site with links but no WOT ratings.

WOT - Rocks!

And So Does.. Avast
