does anyone know how to package a cursorxp theme? i've got one i want to convert for linux, but it doesn't convert, it might be the carriage returns in the config file, so i changed it, but i don't know how to repackage it now after unpacking it.
i found this cool now cursor program too, but i can't use it with linux. http://www.stardock.com/products/cursorfx/ i would just make a linux xcursor theme from the png files, but i was thinking of spending the next week or so doing other stuff.

Is this the article and program you've been toying with Ice? I'll need a closer look at the re-packaging aspect.

no, i'm not using them, they might not work because they are using XFree86 and not xorg. i'm using a program called gursormaker.
to use gursormaker all you do is download the cursorxp archive (they all look like archives to me and can be extracted), extract it, then open (or download) gursormaker, click on File>Import CursorXP Theme, browse to the extracted cursor themes, then go File>Export X Cursor Theme and tell it the name to call it. here are some cursors http://browse.deviantart.com/customi...=9&alltime=yes http://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?libid=25&c=1 i want to use this one http://yingjunjiu.deviantart.com/art...rsors-33874746 i'm not that bothered now becuase i got these instead http://aroche.deviantart.com/art/Light-Cursors-44074391 no one else likes them that i spoken to, but they haven't used them either! they have really good animations

I wasn't sure not spending much time with visual's. Look's like you've kept yourself busy enough to find an alternative, not much doubt as I know your one of those "hungry" searcher's. I may have to take a peek someday. Thank's for the lead's, fresh idea's as alway's.
