It would be nice to have a proper change log. I mostly use Windows Live Mail and after doing the update I don't see the slightest difference. Just guessing but I wonder if this is mostly about making the apps compatible with "8" and not about features and fixes?

You're right, that is exactly why. That and they introduced the new Windows 8 ribbon to some of the applications, as well as dropping the "Live" from it's title. Not really a huge update, but I figured I would let you guys know anyways, so you can update to the latest version. |

Using the new Windows Live Messenger 2012 (16.4.3503) and at least they seem to have fixed the generation of empty folders that were routinely being created in the C:\Users\AppData\Local folders. It was annoying having to delete hundreds of empty folders every week.

I always wondered where all those folders came from. I was like . . . Heck, i rarely install new software, where does all this crap comes from. ![]()

I'm pretty sure they were related to WLM. There were quite a few threads on various forums going back to March 2011 with people complaining about it. I was hoping the 15.4.3555 would have fixed the bug but it didn't. Since I performed a clean install of 16.4.3503 I haven't seen them appear. ![]() |
