What are these?

I just got an Asus 1225 11.6 inch screen. It's perfect for what my needs are.
On keys 1, 6, and the up and down keys there is a solid white circle on the key.
I've searched the user manual and haven't found anything.
Can somebody tell me what they are for?

Hugger, according to the manual found on this Page, it's a Special key (used in conjunction with the Fn Function key) to toggle Media File Playback. That's the best info I could find.
