In the words of Assange the Internet is the biggest spy machine ever built...

having a facebook profile only lets the government (and whoever) know more and more about your personal information and relationships, what you do, what you like, your photos...etc except that they don't have to do any work like before..you (unsuspectingly) hand it all to them.

So..they WANT you to have a fb profile...privacy is history.

It's naive to judge people by the absence of their online activities. I too know quite a lot of nice people without FB accounts.

How long until having a FB becomes a requirement for you to apply for a job so that they can do a background check on you?

Facebook is the biggest breach of an individuals privacy ever created.it does have its good qualities like keeping in touch with your family etc.
But on the whole it is very intrusive.

Yeah, overpriced BS. Popular does not always means it's worth more.
