Just curious, if anyone installed in their system the Wondershare Time Freeze coz this one looks and functions similar to Deep Freeze.
http://www.wondershare.com/pro/time-freeze.html What's your personal review? Is this really good? ![]()

If I recall I can remember a review on youtube. I think that it didn't do a good job at protecting the MBR and a rootkit was left over after reboot. Even though the version 2 has the MBR guard. It not a bad piece of software. I do like the fact that you can shut it off without rebooting. It also has a privacy feature that you can lock folders from either reading or making changes. I used it for a while till I found shadowdefender.

It is a good software, but it has some things that I do not like, such as not being able to create exclusions, etc...
I still prefer the Shadow Defender, I tried all I found was the simplest and most effective. If you have the opportunity to test it, I recommend.

I obtained a free license for this a few weeks ago.
I'll see about installing it on a VM over the weekend and post any observations. |

WTF works good and smooth in my lap...previously I tried RSS Free but it was "to heavy" on it (my lap is not to fast and strong - CPU only 1,6 GHz, RAM 0,9 Gb). Of course - WTF hasn't exclusion list like SD, but it's able to transfer all changes form virtualised system to real without rebooting. In additional it offers protection of folders choosen by user (disable access or disable changes).
My version is from promo...is free for me and I'm glad how it works and behave ![]()

Got it for free one time awhile ago,so I tried it for a month.During that time period,I threw all kinda of malware, etc at it and rebooted, everything was like normal.
For an average person who surfs the net,who doesnt intentionally download viruses, etc, they wont have any issues with this software.

From the description of it on the Wondershare website, WTF doesn't appear to support virtualization of additional non-system partitions.

I use it for trying programs, never found any leftovers after reboot. I certainly like Time Freeze and recommend it since it has never failed me in over a year of usage.

I've been using this for about a week now and I really like it. It's nice to be able to turn protection on/off without rebooting and it's very quick on my system compared to Returnil, which really did slow things down.

I've been using it for almost 2 years, it is an excellent software. Before I used returnil, now I use timefreeze. It is less complicated to use for me than sandboxie, just enable it and thats it. Thats all I use enable/disable, though it has many features which I don't use.
I never encounter any problems with it, and no viruses has ever penetrated it. It's biggest plus, its is ability to leave the virtual stage without rebooting (but it will commit all changes to the real system). It's my 3rd line of defense. 1. firewall 2. antivirus 3. timefreeze 4. true image backup |

Yes I use for testing software and it works well.I have not found any left overs after reboot,What I like most is you can leave virtual mode on the fly.

so I tried this software in my pc.The software is really crap , it wont let me properly transfer the files to my usb and in some forums when wondershare is activated they tell me I am using spam relay , I dont even know what that means but turning off the protection is solving the problem so good bye wonder share, stick with shadow defender.
also usb transfer speed is 1mb/sec when protection enabled |
