Default If missed, run the task at startup - Fail

Acronis True Image 2009 (Vista and Win 7 beta)

Hi, if I don't check this box:

If missed, run the task at startup

in a task, the task still starts next time I bring my machine out of sleep (if it has not been activated at the pre-set time to run).

Can I fix this. I hate cancelling the job each time.

Has no-one else experienced this problem?

Hello dhaider,

Thank you for your interesting in Acronis True Image

Can you please download the latest build of Acronis True Image Home 2009 (9709) from your account (My Account -> Registered Products) and test it first.

Please do the following:

- Download the http://www.acronis.com/files/support/schedmgr.exe file ;
- Start the Command Prompt from Start -> Programs -> Accessories menu;
- Run the following commands in the folder you saved the file to:

schedmgr task zap
schedmgr service stop
schedmgr service uninstall
schedmgr service install
schedmgr service start

This should delete all the scheduled tasks on the PC. You should manage your scheduled tasks from the scratch.

If the issue persists contact Acronis support and submit technical request using this link or contact us via Live Chat describe the issue and ask for Acronis Scheduler update link, it should fix the issue.

Best regards,
--

Yeah, I have the same problem on my laptop. I'm just about to try the instructions above - did they work for you?

Those instructions didn't work - my laptop STILL tries to do a backup when I next turn it on, if it wasn't turned on at the scheduled time, despite the checkbox being unchecked!

Do I need to submit a problem report then?

Thanks
Steven
