Windows 7 64bit here.

Gamer mode is disabled on V5 and I only get the pop-up when I open WinSCP, which does open in full screen like most if not all of my applications.

No problems with this on V4, same computer.

Does your issue tie-in with the GUI resizes issue ? (or) are these now becoming associated ?

@ ESET Take note of this possibly emerging trend, please.

At least for me.

I haven't had any more spurious notification messages since I last flushed my cache, but reading the previous messages, I realised that I turned off gaming mode for full screen applications at the same time, so it could be connected.

Still have the GUI resize problem though, and I've had to disable prompting for action on inserting removable media, as I was also getting those prompts pop up when a user logged in, even though the relevant drive or port was empty, but after a previously logged in user had inserted and removed media during their session.

Hello,

I know when the ghost flags are going to appear on my two machines (Win7 Home Premium x 64 & Win7 Ultimate x 64). It happens every 24 hours after the previous ghost flag but only when I open the GUI or if the GUI is already open.

When I reboot, that would be the starting point, let’s say 7:00 am. The next morning at 7:00 the ghost flag will appear after opening the GUI. Now let’s say the day after that, I don’t open the GUI until 11:00 am (although I could have made the flag appear at 7:00), the ghost flag will appear and will not appear again until the next day at 11:00 etc… The longer I wait after this 24 hour period the longer it takes the ghost flag to appear (maybe 5 to 15 seconds depending on how long after the 24 hr. period). I should also mention it seems to be right down to the second, for example 7:00:28.

I can open the GUI any time after the flag appears and before the 24 hr. period is up and no flag ever. This has been happening since the last 2 or 3 versions of 4.x and ver. 5.0.94.0.

I usually reboot every day or two but I noticed this pattern and thought I would not reboot for a few days to confirm.

Has anyone else noticed this same behavior? If a person’s machine were prone to this same pattern but they reboot or turn their machine off every day, they might not see this flag but only once in great while or not at all, depending on the timing & opening of the GUI.

Don't seem to notice that, and I rarely open the GUI of NOD32. But the pop-up still appears after I've disabled all options regarding Gamer mode, albeit it's (much) less frequently...

Cheers.

It was actually, cited here or here

This has been a ongoing UI issue for some of us, others are not seeing it.

Some have confirmed the issue on various Windows platforms regardless of build and configuration.

Any fix for this in site? This one's getting REALLY annoying

Problem seems to happen for me regardless of the Gamer Mode settings

The recent Business Edition release suppressed them somewhat, yet I still see the flags.

I'm seeing the alert sporadically.

BTW, is everyone here using Outlook...? Trying to track down another issue, not sure if it's related though...

Cheers.

I have this happen every time my machine resumes from sleep (Windows 7 x64) - I think it is to do with scanning removable devices (the Bitlocker USB flash key). I do not see it happening when there are no removable drives plugged in.

Another discovery worth mentioning:

NOD32 does not display error information on the Home status panel as expected or implied, it instead expects you to navigate all panels of the user interface until you find the error message(s) that it wants you to pay attention to.

This "feature" (poorly implemented, IMHO) may cloud the issue at hand.
