Multiple-Boot and NOD32 updates question.

On one machine I have a dual boot with XP Home and XP Pro installed.

I was wondering if it is possible to do just one NOD32 update (virus definitions) and then copy the file into the other operating system, rather than do two seperate updates of NOD32 over the internet.

Its probably simpler to do it over the internet, and that will give you much more confidence you are up to date, but you can set up NOD32 to install a mirror each time you update.

You should be able to set yourself up so one boot can fetch updates from the mirror on the other boot. You'll need to download the NOD32 Control Center user Manual - that explains how to do it.

The Mods will doubtless come in if in fact you need a server licence (like me!) to make the feature I'm talking about work.

IMHO fetching updates from the net is a better way to go.

NOD32 is licensed "per processor", and the Windows license covers all 32bit Microsoft workstation platforms, so if you're running eg: XP and 98 on the same computer then you've had a win ... one license will cover both operating systems ... but if you're running XP and Linux on the same computer then you need to throw more money at me.
