I bought ESET over the counter at an electronics retailer. I bought a one year/one user subscription. I assume the time starts when I download it to the computer, rather than the day of purchase. Is this correct?

Hi jjc225
Yes you are right, your license will first start in that moment, when you are activating your Serial Number or Activation Key. See also (if you should need it): How do I activate my complimentary ESET license? Cheers, Janus

Thanks for the info. I should have mentioned that I purchased NOD32, and that the box contains a CD with a serial number, instead of the EAV- system when you purchase online and download. This is my third NOD32 license. It was too good a deal to pass up. OfficeMax had NOD32 on sale for $24, then $5 more off with the 20% storewide discount they were running. I'm glad to know I don't have to use it immediately as I will be using it on a computer which currently has another AV that will expire in a few months. |
