Hahahaha 9" netbook.
That keyboard must be really really cramped. I've used a couple netbooks from friends that are around 9" or 10" not sure and even with my "small hands" i feel it's almost unusable.

I can still use it, there is no numpad. I agree that it can feel cramped though.

I prefer the 17 inch. I am currently using a Toshiba Satellite.

I also prefer 17". I currently have an old Dell Inspiron 1720, but most of the components have been upgraded and Windows 7 installed. The best upgrade was an SSD, which made the old notebook quite fast. That's why I decided to keep it, but the next one will also be 17". It will also have two hard drive bays so I can install an SSD along with a HDD for storage.
