Default Backup question

Hi,

I have 4GB data in my document folder and more than 2 GB PST file of MS outlook.

Now I want to take backup of my C: drive, excluding these data.
so if my PC will be crrouptaed than I will use this backup.
but I don't want to add these data files in backup.
I need only program setting and installed software, thats all.

how can i do that ?

ankupan,

My suggestion is to create a data partition on your HD and move "4GB data in my document folder and more than 2 GB PST file of MS outlook" into the data partition. Then your C: drive image will be a lot smaller and you can backup your data partition to another HD by using Windows Explorer or the Files and Folders component of TI.

Hello ankupan,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please notice that separate files/folders cannot be excluded from a drive/partition image, which is usually necessary to restore the system after failure. The possible solution would be, as Brian K described, moving those files/folders onto a separate partition.

You can find the detailed instructions on how to use Acronis True Image in the respective User's Guide.

Thank you.
